Not the BBC-series, but a story about the artists I would have liked to dine with! I say "would have" because they are all dead. Sadly! Among them are the painters Peter Paul Rubens, Leonardo da Vinci, and the architect Andrea Palladio.
Leonardo da Vinci:
Well, to most people it will not be a mystery why I would like to sit next to Leonardo at a dinner table. Research is being done into his artworks every minute, every day, every year.Of course I would like to talk to him about his artworks, but I would most of all just observe how a multi-talent like Leonardo behaves. My guess is that he is an impatient man, anxious to get on to his next idea, his next project. Is it a science project? A painting? A fresco? A computer? Seems to me he was way ahead of his own time in so many ways.
If he lived today, he would probably have been diagnosed with ADHD or some other mild mental desease.
Read about more of my imaginary dinner-dates very soon on this page.
